BIO OF MASTER DAVID
Master
David is a scene-friendly psychologist who first
developed his appreciation for "the fine art of
BDSM" while growing up in the San Francisco Bay
area. He swore to protect the values of a
Leather Master and was presented his Master’s
cap in Hayward, California in 1969. He is a
long-time contributor to safe, sane,
pleasure-filled learning opportunities for
adults to explore and expand their
self-awareness. He has the ability to befriend
people of all ages, enjoys the diversity found
in the scene, and recognizes that in our
lifestyle, "no one is perfect but, it's
important to strive for excellence." The Morning workshop will start at 0900 to 11:00 Presenter - Master David Building a Solid Foundation for Lasting Relationships During this serious but fun-filled class you will learn through discussion and practice about healthy and unhealthy relationships in the scene and how to use appropriate behaviors to develop and maintain positive qualities for a healthy relationship Lunch will be from 11:00 to 12:30 The first Afternoon workshop will start at 12:30 to 2:30 Presenter -Master David Protocols, Rules, and Etiquette Protocols, Rules, and Etiquette are common throughout our society. But, what do they really mean? What is there purpose? Why do we need them? How many do we need? During this mini-workshop, we will discuss these and more questions, share our own experiences, understandings and misunderstandings, and how our “Leather” heritage has contributed to the way we regulate ourselves, family, and community today. The second Afternoon workshop will start at 3:00 to 5:00 Presenter master David Psychological & Emotional Factors and Master/slave Relationships In the most general sense, a Master/slave relationship involves Master receiving service and slave providing that service. However, that relationship involves at least two individuals with their own unique physical, psychological, and emotional characteristics. Life situations often cause psychological and emotional stress that can create a dysfunctional situation until those factors that are contributing to the dysfunction can be addressed in a healthy and meaningful way. This class will discuss six common situations that can hinder relationships: Stress, Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Sexual Drive, and Self-esteem.
